Elemind
Task App
Project Overview
This project is about a mobile task app. A productivity application designed to help users organize, track, and complete their daily tasks effectively. It is to reduce mental load from task tracking, improve focus to have a better time management and motivate the user. They get notications to get reminded of the tasks they need to make before it's late. Helping to reduce stress and overwhelmed.
UI Inspiration/ Research
My inspiration drew upon Catzy and Finch, aiming to create an endearing character that would serve as the face of the app. However, I didn't want the design to revolve only around the character; consequently, I also looked to apps like TickTick, Task Agenda, and others that prioritize simplicity and minimalism. The goal was to ensure users wouldn't feel overwhelmed by visual clutter—making the app easy to understand and navigate.
Primary User Flow
The primary user flow is made to make daily tasks more fun and motivational. It's easy and clear to understand. It is efficient and performs its function in a more creative, yet simple, manner.
Wireframes
These are my wireframes the sketches used to plan the structure of the application. Also included are sketches for the application's logo, along with various options I considered creating.

Brand Identity & UI System
I wanted to go for a brand that felt friendly and welcoming to users. It combines the idea that elephants have a good memory with the ease with which you can add reminders in Elemind.

Reflection
I went through a lot while working on this project. It was fun and very satisfying to complete. I learned how to better organize the application so that it wouldn't be difficult to navigate—keeping everything clear and in its proper place. I had to conduct extensive research on applications similar to Elemind, learning how they are alike and what many of them lack. To the best of my ability, I strove to create a design that would appeal to anyone looking to better organize their notes and their life in order to boost productivity and achieve their goals.
I learned how such small details can bring about major, impactful changes—elements like text size, icons, colors, placement, and much more. I had to dig deep to determine how I wanted my application to look, as well as its core purpose: how to best design Elemind to assist the user.
